Types of Treatment Systems
All equipment must be sized to your amount of water usage as well as the parameters in which they are correcting. There are many different ways to treat water. We'll go over the most common ones.
Acid Neutralizer
The majority of homes around us require an Acid Neutralizer to raise the pH of their water. pH stands for the "potential for hydrogen". It is a scale from 0 to 14 to measure the acidity or basicity of water. 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic and above 7 is basic. Ideally, we want our water to be between 7.0 and 8.5 for maximum safety and efficiency. Your water test results will determine the type of media the Neutralizer is filled with.
Treatment Units Assembled in House
All of the vessels assembled in house come equipped with a Vortech plate. What does this mean? Vortech efficiency, without the Vortech price tag. This patented plate allows the unit to backwash more efficiently, saving up to 30% of the regeneration water needed, cuts down on the amount of salt used and provides up to a 40% better flow-rate. It also features self cleaning nozzles, eliminating potential clogging and provides an even flow to ensure you are utilizing the full media bed.
Water Softener
Probably the most common piece of equipment. In our area most homes need one or already have one installed. Most commonly used to treat total hardness, it can also remove ferrous(clear) iron as well as other dissolved metals. They are also required after a Neutralizer to remove the added hardness from the water.
Sediment Cartridge
Every home that is on a well should have a sediment filter installed. Whether you have crystal clear water or not. It will protect your appliances and fixtures from failure if anything were to change. A shift in the earth or failing equipment may stir up sediment more than usual. A sediment filter is a cheap and valuable form of insurance for your home.
Reverse Osmosis
RO units are most commonly used as a point of use filtration. This means the unit is only supplying filtered water to a specific faucet or refrigerator used only for drinking, cooking, and filling humidifiers or oil diffusers. A Reverse Osmosis unit can be mounted under the kitchen sink and is capable of removing up to 99% of all impurities from your water. This includes lead, arsenic, nitrates, PFAS and much more!
Ultra Violet
An Ultra Violet light is used to treat water with known bacteria or to ensure the water is bacteria free. As water passes through the sleeve, UV light will penetrate through the water eradicating all bacteria.
